CREATIVE HEART

Gab loves doing all things creative - though it is in her make shift garage studio, under the warm glow of studio lighting & the crisp sharp 'pops' of flash fires that her true creative passion stirs, this is a place she feels alive. The memories of her uni days are deeply ingrained in her heart, being in this space evokes feelings of carefree happiness — a state of mind, she prefers above all others.

But before she even looks at her studio, her process is organic and intuitive, often starting with a quick sketch or note jotted down after waking from a vivid dream or restless night. Watching these dream-state ideas evolve — from raw concepts to final pieces — is where the magic happens.

Experimenting and refining, playing with lighting, exploring different objects and backgrounds to visually express the essence of her thoughts is a process she takes very seriously.

For her, the final piece isn’t just - goodbye - the - end! It is a sense of release. The weight of her idea lifts, and the need to hold onto or explain it, fades away, it is now passed onto the next person to interperet. Not unlike letting go of a leaf to flow down a river only for those down stream to interpret for themselves. Or it gets stuck on the river bed, immediately after its release to be covered in mud for no-one to ever see again (haha).

THE NEXT SERIES?

Is just around the corner...

Her mind is a whirlwind of endless ideas, constantly unravelling her world — and questions beyond it. She's in a perpetual state of creation, whether actively working, quietly reflecting or lost in thought/ distraction, one things certain, she has always got an idea. Just ask her.
